What is Elf Shelf:
Elf Shelf is our holiday shopping opportunity for Oakview students. Students may select 2 gifts
for loved ones and then a letter is sent home to tell parents how much the 2 gifts combined
cost along with the date that you need to send in the money. During the week of December
11th, each class will visit the Elf Shelf Store to pick up and pay for the items they selected. The
wrapped gifts will come home with them that day as well.

Volunteer Needs:
Elf Shelf (which runs Dec 11-15 this year) celebrates the gift of giving during the holiday season
by providing students with an opportunity to purchase affordable, pre-wrapped gifts for their
loved ones. Please note that this is not a fund raiser but is a service PTA provides to students --
the excitement and joy in our students is contagious, so grab your jingle bells and holiday
sweaters and contact Erica Huffman or Michelle Smith at elfshelf@oakviewpta.com to
volunteer. We need help with the following:

Dec 4-6: wrapping gifts
Dec 11: decorating the shopping area at school
Dec 12-15: staffing the shopping area
Dec 15: taking down the shopping area
