Dear Parents & Guardians,
Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year at Oakview Elementary! Your PTA is excited about all the opportunities that await the Oakview family this year.
In this year’s Back to School folders you will find a copy of our calendar of events, information on how to purchase your PTA Memberships, spirit wear items, student directories, and how to make Friends of Oakview donations (as shown below). The document also directs you to a quick Google Form that we are requesting each family complete. Purchases and the Google Form need to be completed no later than August 31st.

GENERAL OAKVIEW PTA INFORMATION
PTA Membership
Becoming a member of Oakview’s PTA provides you with a powerful voice to speak on behalf of every child, while providing the best resources to help your child be a successful student. Our PTA provides vital financial and personnel support to our total school program through your $5.00 PTA Membership. We strive for 100% Membership each year, which means that every Oakview student is represented by a PTA Membership. We encourage everyone to buy the Family Membership for $10 which includes 2 memberships. If you have more than 1 child at Oakview, please help us reach our goal by purchasing memberships equal to the number of students (each membership needs a separate name/ email address) PTA Membership is open to anyone seeking to actively support our mission, including parents, grandparents, educators, students, and friends.
Friends of Oakview (FOO) Fund
Each year, Oakview PTA raises a necessary and significant amount of money through the Friends of Oakview Fund. When you make your 100% tax-deductible donation to the Friends of Oakview Fund, all of your money stays at Oakview, and goes to supporting the classroom needs and school support required during this school year. Any dollar amount is greatly appreciated and welcomed!
Student Directory
Student Directories are available for purchase by Oakview families. To be included in our directory this year families must complete the Google Form. Directories are available for purchase for $5.
*** Please note that the PTA sponsors a Student Directory as a service for the students and families of Oakview. It is intended for personal use and may not be used for solicitation and public distribution. Only those students whose parents give permission will have their information published in the Student Directory. Please respect and maintain the privacy of Oakview students and families by utilizing the directory only for its intended use.***
Show Your Oakview Spirit
Be sure to order your OES Spirit Wear online this year! Deadline to order is Wednesday, August 31st! We look forward to having many spirit wear / school color days this year.
